Update 2/1 Due to ongoing repairs on 4th street, we will postpone the closure of 8th street to Monday, February 5th.
Original Post: Beginning Feb 1st the intersection of 8th and Vine will be closed to allow for the new water lines to be tied in. This closure is estimated to last about 3 weeks. we understand that this section of road is used for school routes and general travel in Wamego, so please be advised that Walnut, Spruce, and Poplar are all open and clear- as well as 4th Street.
although this is a temporary inconvenience, we hope there is an underlying excitement for the improvements being made to Wamego’s infrastructure. progress always takes some sacrifice and we appreciate the support from our citizens as we work to improve our town.
